There are so many list out there but will going to tell you what you need to pack in your hospital bag while going to labor and birth? I have helped many pregnant women’s prepare for their hospital bag and I have come up with the perfect hospital bag list that is definitely going to help you:)

Mama’s Hospital bag list while going for labor and birth:

  1. Health Insurance and Identity proof : You must need your health insurance information or card. so, that your delivery expenditure will cover by that insurance. Also you should carry your one identity proof to do all the hospital formalities to get admit.
  2. Extra clothes and toiletries: You should bring some extra gown and inner wears, so if it gets dirty then you will not need to worry about it. Also you will get hospital gown to wear at the time of labor and birth. but one cloth is needed while going back home. Also you should bring your own tooth brush, tooth paste, small towel, comb, eye glasses if you wear, shampoo etc…
  3. Lotion and Oil: If you want to have massage during labor then either of these will work and your partner will easily give you a massage.
  4. Charged Mobile Phone: Mobile phone is very essential part, don’t forget to bring that. You can call anyone if you need any help.
  5. Nursing Bras: This will help you out while breast feeding your baby so, don’t forget to keep that in your hospital bag. therefore it makes your breastfeeding easy and comfortable.
  6. Snacks and drinks: Some hospitals have good food but some don’t, and you really likes your home food then you should bring your beverages and snacks to keep you hydrated and nourished.
  7. Heavy flow pads: The hospital will provide you that but if you want to use some specific brand pads and if you are very choosy then you should bring your own pads packet to make the journey easy.
  8. Camera: You not at all want to miss the day you first welcomed your bundle of joy or your baby into the beautiful world. Most of the parents take pictures/ memories with their phones, but if you have a good camera that you want to bring to capture this special time/ special moment, bring it and enjoy every bit moment with your little one!
  9. Footprint and handprint: After your baby’s born, the nurse will get your baby’s footprints and handprints, so if you bring your baby book, she can also get those cute footprints and/or handprints in your baby book too and you can keep it as your memory!
  10. Decoration: Talk to the decoration person in prier before going to the hospital and make your home decorated and welcome your baby home:) Also you can do theme decoration by your own. therefore purchase the decoration items before and do the decorations accordingly and welcome your little one home!
